Butch Walker=Fave

Way to go Butch Walker. You remade an awesome song...better? Watch this video around 2:40ish if you want instant gratification. The first couple of minutes show the making of the song, which is also, quite cool. Taylor. Butch. Thanks. AWESOME VIDEO

Comfort

Sometimes, all I need is a bowl of soup and a hug. Today was one of those days. I am so appreciative of my loving friends, who let me waltz up to the dinner table and join them for a round of laughs and genuine felicity. There's nothing like comforts of home. A real home. And by real I mean people who love each another in the true raw light. It's vitalizing.

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
Romans 12:12

Drink up the love

Best reasons to drink coffee...

1. It tastes good--and if it doesn't taste good to you now, it will eventually.
2. It's free of calories. What more could you ask for?!
3. It keeps you awake (this comes in handy with any american lifestyle).
4. It keeps you warm in the cold winter months. (Always best with a book)
5. It's claims all the best cups.
6. It's fabulously priced. You can get a whole pound of beans for the same price as a pack of Coke.
7. The smell makes you happy, even if you hate the stuff. Most can agree on that simple truth.
9. I don't need 9 reasons because the first 8 were awesome.

Mendy is...

a smart, beautiful, caring, loving, giving, sweet, friendly, funny, Godly, athletic,
creative, neat, and lovely woman.

I am so proud of all of Mendy's accomplishments (her newest is Homecoming Queen!) and am so glad that we are family. I find her personality refreshing and honest and her love for the simple things much like mine. She always has time to give helping others and you'll always find her with a sweet smile. Thanks for being a shining light in a dark world and making it a better place. I love you sister.

Forever and Always,
Michelle

New Photography

Just had a fun time taking pictures of the Spindles! What a great family. They couldn't be any cuter!

These photos, spotted on Sunday Suppers are the best.

Today I feel like a leaky faucet, a squeeky door, a gloomy gus, and a Debbie Downer. My joy's been sucked dry today and I'm not sure why. I'm so sorry, but I just can't post my not me monday as usual. I'm content with reading joyful blogs today and listening to classical music and that's all. However, no matter how I feel, good photography always makes me feel okay, which is why I'm sharing these amazing photographs with you. :) Have a blessed Monday.

Africa

What a beautiful smile. It just touches your heart and flips it inside out doesn't it? In Africa, starvation has almost surpassed the Aids epidemic and the biggest issue they face today is clean water and food. There are severe problems in Africa, and specifically, Swaziland.

The current life expectancy in Swaziland is 32.23 years old, and according to the CIA, it holds the number one death rate in the entire world. The Aids epidemic has plagued 190,000 people in a nation of only a little over 1 million people. It is is quickly spreading across this country, and because of the death of so many people, one in every five children are now orphans.
pray for them. love them. care about them.

It's not too late. If we don't help them, who will?
