Little brother Andrew

Andrew is the best brother ever.
I kind of can't believe he's graduating this year.
Is he all grown up...already?
Okay, now I sound like mom. :)

Woah

"You might be thinking you're unimpressive and underqualified. That's good. God performs the most impressive feats through the most unimpressive people. God likes to wet the wood before he sets it on fire. That way, everybody knows who made it burn." 1 Kings 18:33-38

Read. This. Book.

Dream Home Tour

Wow. Who designed this room? I think they have my heart inside their body.
Stairs like this are...ah....a must.

Kitchen. Something White. Maybe white gloss floors too. I mean ALL white. Clean and bright is my favorite. After all, you have to have somewhere to eat, so it might as well be cute.
Don't love everything about this room, but the bedding is bomb. Where do I find a striped duvet cover this cute?! Anyone?! ...and the natural lighting makes me happy. Good morning sunshine!

Valentine's Day

Five reasons this holiday is legit.

1. Pink and red hearts litter the world, and I'm okay with the constant love reminders. Look at these, for instance. Way to go Dunkin Donuts, spread the love!

2. There's lots of chocolate everywhere I look.

3. The YouVersion Love and Marriage reading plan is available (5 days of awesome devotionals for you and your significant other). If you don't have a valentine, that's okay too, because they also have hundreds of others, so you can find one that is right for you!

4. Wheel of Fortune has sweetheart week. I love this show, and I certainly love watching people in love play the game together!

5. Love is literally in the air. I feel it already!

Hey Listen

I've been looking for headphones to use at home in the office since Jonathan and I are usually working on separate projects. I shopped for one week without purchasing some on impulse (it's alright to clap). And, after polling a group of friends, unsuccessfully trying to reason out my need for Dr. Dre's beats (always my winner choice), and refusing to sacrifice the cute factor, I settled for these cute little things which are available at Urban Outfitters or online at Amazon. Who knew there were so many options of seriously cute headphones out there?! If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to post my finds!

Snow Day!

It's no secret that I love white. It makes things beautiful...see?
Show off Bella, no really...go ahead.

Bella looks like such a bully in this picture! I solemnly swear she's just playing with Mini, who really just doesn't want to get wet and cold. :)
Cute boy of mine.

I love these Oklahoma snow days! What are you loving these days?

Gameday Snacks

At a loss for what to make for the big game on Sunday night? Allow me to help you out!

Spicy Tortilla Roll-ups
Childhood fave :)

1-8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softned
1-2 oz. can chopped black olives
1- 4oz. can diced green chiles
1-4oz. jar sliced pimento peppers, drained
2 green onions, minced
3 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
10-10 inch flour tortillas
Directions: In a medium-sized bowl, combine cream cheese, olives, chiles, pimentos, green onions, hot sauce, and fresh cilantro. Spread the mixture onto tortillas. Roll the tortillas up and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Slice the roll-ups and serve! I like to serve these with salsa. :)

Ants on a Log
Why not relive the childhood days? I bring these to a party, they're gone!

5 stalks of celery
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup raisins
Directions: Cut the celery stalks in half. Spread with peanut butter. Sprinkle with raisins.

Fruity Fun Skewers
Be creative! Use any fruit you want!

5 large strawberries, halved
1/4 cantaloupe, cut into balls or cubes
2 bananas, peeled and cut into chunks
1 apple, cut into chunks
20 skewers
Directions: Thread the strawberries, cantaloupe, banana, apple pieces, or whatever fruit you wish to use onto skewers, placing at least 5 pieces of fruit on each skewer. Serve by arranging on a serving platter.
