Psalm 103

Psalm 103 is absolutely beautiful.

Every word is pure truth.

Take a minute and let it all soak in...

O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, I’ll bless his holy name! O my soul, bless God, don’t forget a single blessing! He forgives your sins—every one. He heals your diseases—every one. He redeems you from hell—saves your life! He crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown. He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal. He renews your youth—you’re always young in his presence. God makes everything come out right; he puts victims back on their feet. He showed Moses how he went about his work, opened up his plans to all Israel. God is sheer mercy and grace; not easily angered, he’s rich in love. He doesn’t endlessly nag and scold, nor hold grudges forever. He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve, nor pay us back in full for our wrongs. As high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is his love to those who fear him. And as far as sunrise is from sunset, he has separated us from our sins. As parents feel for their children, God feels for those who fear him. He knows us inside and out, keeps in mind that we’re made of mud. Men and women don’t live very long; like wildflowers they spring up and blossom, but a storm snuffs them out just as quickly, leaving nothing to show they were here. God’s love, though, is ever and always, eternally present to all who fear him, making everything right for them and their children as they follow his Covenant ways and remember to do whatever he said. God has set his throne in heaven; he rules over us all. He’s the King! So bless God, you angels, ready and able to fly at his bidding, quick to hear and do what he says. Bless God, all you armies of angels, alert to respond to whatever he wills. Bless God, all creatures, wherever you are—everything and everyone made by God. And you, O my soul, bless God!

...how much do you love him? Wow.

Feminine//Gothic LOVE

This is not really my decorating style at ALL, but I love the feminine gothic style here with a passion. The black wall and the white wall and huge window with natural light rocks my world. The contrast just works. And look at that amazing headboard! I would never pick that out in a million years, but I love it, and it's perfect for this room. It adds just the right amount of femininity. I think this is why decorating homes fascinates me so much, because no matter how many rooms I look at, each has it's own personality, and two are never ever the same. What's your favorite style? This one could be ranking pretty high in the next decade of my life. I'm already wondering which wall in my house could survive painted black.

Washi TAPE!

I sure did just order 20 rolls of this amazing Washi tape for my next project (making a string of notes). For tons of choices, visit tinted mint.

(All photos are from tinted mint)

more more more thoughts

"Even when you are old, I will be the same. Even when your hair has turned gray, I will take care of you. I made you and will take care of you. I will carry you and save you." -Isaiah 46:4

If you feel like no one understands you (because really, they can't fully understand unless they are you) or if you've lived your entire life waiting for someone to take care of you, but always end up taking care of everyone else, you have felt much like me at times. And, your search is over. God has what you need and you'll never wear him out. I dare you to test it if you don't believe me.

"But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul." -Deuteronomy 4:29

Be encouraged today if for no other reason than knowing that God, the maker of the entire universe, loves you more than you can possibly even fathom. He understands you 100%, and he is all that you need to make it.

I wish I was 50

I wish I was 50. I know that most people wish to keep their young age and their healthy bodies, but not me. I want to be old. I want to have lots of wrinkles and be much more wise that I am at the young old age of 24. I'm ready to live my years to the fullest and have a brain full of wonderful memories.

I may just have to drive a sexy sports car with a wicked awesome hair-do. And I hope all the kids in the neighborhood knock on my door every day because they know I'll give them all the free ice cream they can eat. I hope they never ask to jump in the pool, but just always come on over and help themselves. I want to wear vibrant purple eye shadow--and lots of it.

When I see people this age, I think, wow, can we be friends? Those are some of the best people in this world to get to know. Anyway, I can't wait.

Love,
Grandma Meisner

New Polaroid cameras

There are tons of them starting to pop up all over the place, but this one is especially cool. It's a mini polaroid camera made by Fuji that's especially awesome because you can see the photos on a digital screen on the back BEFORE you print them! Say what?! That's a crazy-cool feature! After all, you may not wanna waste any of that paper since it cost you $16 for 20 sheets, but it looks like some fun entertainment to me! This particular camera doesn't hit the market until September 4, 2010. See below for pricing and links to what is available. Amazon should have them in stock in September.
Cost: $221
Film: $16/20 sheets
Where you can find it: pre-order here

Small Space Storage Solutions

If you're like me at all, you would understand my need to organize (and basically hide) any and all of my stuff. I like to decorate, but I just don't love it all sitting out. In fact, If I could have a house of all wood floors, handle-less cabinets, and bare colorful walls, I sure would. But, I know that it's not asthetically pleasing to the eye, so yes, I have learned how to have a nice middle ground. So enough about me...here we go.

Tip #1 Be smart. Sometimes you have limited space and there are spots that could be used for storage if you just spend a little bit of time being creative. There are no wrong answers friends. By the way, don't you love the wallpaper in the picture below, and how it draws your eye to the window? Adorable.
Tip #2 Think outside of the box. There is space you could be using that you're not. Be creative. Maybe you could turn your unused closet into a small home office (and then you could close the door...which I obviously love!)
Tip #3 Look up! Look at all that space on the walls, above the cabinets, and just flat out hanging around!
Tip #4 Stuff things where your momma told you not to! Space under your bed is normally full of random shoes, lost clothes, or things you don't even want to think about, isn't it? You could totally sell all of that junk for some cash and buy yourself some cute baskets or other storage solutions that look this adorable. I bet you'll be glad you did!
Tip #5 Use Mirrors. If you have a really small space, and you want to lose that cramped feel AND need somewhere to put your stuff, look for some tasteful mirror solutions like these. It can be done in a classy way, but be careful, or you might end up on an HGTV home makeover show soon. These can be tricky, but if you get them right, well worth it!
Have a great storage idea of your own? Share it here! I'm sure the other readers would love to hear about it! (all pics were found on my fave Canadian magazine website...House and Home)

See you soon my blogger friends!

xoxo,
Michelle
